Economist Professor Godfred Alufar Bokpin asserts that the country has not yet made a decisive turn in addressing its economic challenges. He underscores the importance of additional efforts to effectively navigate through the ongoing crisis.

While recognizing marginal improvements in specific economic sectors, Prof. Bokpin urges Ghanaians to be prepared for demanding economic conditions. Speaking on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show on Tuesday, January 2, he underscores the need for citizens to make economic preparations for the year 2024.

“Let me be candid with Ghanaians; we are still grappling with the economic crisis. Therefore, it is crucial for every Ghanaian to temper their expectations regarding how growth will unfold and its impact on the populace. Growth can manifest at various levels.”

“The benefits of economic recovery can be realized at different stages, but for it to positively impact the ordinary Ghanaian, we must sustain microeconomic stability for a period not less than 15 years,” he conveyed during the interview with host Kojo Yankson.
